The Joplin Fire Department responded at 4:39 PM on Monday, 09 March, to a report of a structure fire at 14th and South Joplin Ave, Joplin. Arriving on scene at 4:44 PM crews found a small masonry parking garage with fire coming out of the door. Crews extinguished the fire and determined that there were no other hot spots. Crews remained on scene until 7:43 PM.
The structure suffered fire, smoke and water damage. Ownership information is not available at this time.
Five Fire units and 12 firefighters responded to the scene, as well as JPD and METS. No one was injured on the scene.
At this time the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
