Wrong-way driver causes 3-car crash, five injured, including 2-year-old

Five people were injured in a three-car collision caused by wrong-way driver 7:58 p.m. Saturday on I-49, one mile north of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Ford F150 driven by Kevin L. Brooks, 54, Wyandotte, Oklahoma, was headed northbound in the southbound lanes, struck a 2002 Subaru driven by Timothy C. Ray, 18, Joplin, and then hit a 2003 Chrysler Pt Cruiser driven by Christina J. Sexton, 26, St. Joseph.

Brooks suffered serious injuries, a passenger in his vehicle, Kevin L. Brooks, 54, Wyandotte, moderate injuries; Ray minor injuries, a passenger in Ray's vehicle, Levi R. Jones, 17, Neosho, moderate injuries, and a passenger in the Sexton vehicle, Craig A Lejk, 2, St. Joseph. All were treated at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin,
