Joplin police seek multiple suspects in home invasions probe

On March 16, 2015 at approximately 0503, Joplin Police responded to 1616 W. 4th St. in reference to gunshots. It was determined that there had been a home invasion at this location. Upon arrival, officers located one suspect who is deceased as a result of a gunshot wound. We are seeking multiple suspects that fled the scene.

There is a potential suspect vehicle being described as a black SUV. We are conducting a death investigation at this location.

On March 16, 2015 at approximately 0503, Joplin Police responded to 1616 W. 4th St. in reference to gunshots. It was determined that there had been a home invasion at this location. There is a potential suspect vehicle being described as a black SUV. We are conducting a death investigation at this location.

On March 16, 2015, at approximately 4:30AM, Joplin Police responded to 406 S. St. Charles in reference to a home invasion. There were no injuries reported. The suspects left this residence shortly after entering, possibly after recognizing that they had targeted the residence in error.

It has yet to be determined if these two incidents are related.
