Grounbreaking Monday for Route 60 improvements in Neosho

Groundbreaking Event Scheduled April 20
To Kickoff Improvements to Route 60 in Neosho


Neosho, Newton County - A groundbreaking event to kick off construction of improvements to Route 60 in Neosho is scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, April 20 at Neosho Middle School, 1400 Hale McGinty Drive, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The $5.3 million project features two new intersections east of Kodiak Road, new outer roads on either side of Route 60, the extension of Laramie Lane and Hale McGinty Drive and other intersection improvements.

Traffic Impact During Construction:
Possible nighttime lane closings between the hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
At least one lane of traffic open in each direction on Route 60.
There will be little traffic impact on Route 60 early in the project. In the beginning the contractor will be concentrating on building the new outer roads.
