Joplin man arrested after making threats, firing gun

On 4-24-2015 at 3:22 PM Joplin Police responded to 1824 Carolyn Place in response to a report that, at approximately 6:00 AM, at that location, Diamond James Bradley, had made threatening statements to shoot Kevin B. Morgan and Quiana L. McKay.

The victims allege that Bradley had pointed a gun and fired the weapon at them. The victim's reported being able to feel the bullets, “pass by their body”. Neither victim was struck by a bullet.

Officers surrounded the residence and contacted Bradley. He submitted without incident. (Diamond J. Bradley, 29, 2209 Virginia, Joplin)

Joplin Police Department Investigations Bureau obtained a search warrant for the residence. During a subsequent search of the house, several firearms were located. Including the one that was believed to have been fired during this incident. Also located in the house was 112 grams of marijuana that was packaged in several separate containers, as for distribution.

Charges submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor were: 1 st Degree Assault Armed Criminal Action Unlawful Use of a Weapon Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute Jasper County Prosecutor’s case number is 15AO-CR00469 Diamond Bradley’s bond is set at $100,000 surety with $50,000 cash only.
