(From MODOT)

Prigmor Avenue Bridge at I-44/I-49 CLOSED
For Several Months Beginning Thursday, April 16

MoDOT Traffic Alert

Where: Prigmor Avenue (County Road 190) bridge CLOSED over I-44/I-49 near Joplin

When: 12:01 a.m., Thursday, April 16, until mid-August

What: Contractor crews will begin work on replacing the current bridge with a new higher and wider span.

Traffic Impacts: Drivers will need to find an alternate route around the closing. However, 20th Street on the north end of the bridge will remain open for another two to three weeks after the bridge is closed. In the beginning, most of the contractor work will be done on the south end of the bridge. Drivers will be able to get to driveways and business entrances on either side of the closing, but they will NOT be able to travel through the work zone.

NOTE: The work is part of the project to build an interchange at this location.

Weather and/or construction delays could postpone the project.
