Joplin tourism to be focus of upcoming Newsmakers program

The upcoming edition of the “Newsmakers” interview program on KGCS-TV focuses on local tourism efforts, with the director of the Joplin Convention and Tourism Bureau, Patrick Tuttle. During the program, he discusses ongoing efforts to promote Joplin. He cites increased interest in Route 66 and local sites, as well as efforts to market the community.

The program airs the following times on KGCS-TV:

Sunday, April 5 – 5:30 p.m.

Monday, April 6 – 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 7 – 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 8 – 5:30 p.m.

The program is also posted on the station YouTube site, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpG1exBrpnE

KOAM-TV will also air the program on Saturday, April 11 at 5:00 a.m.

Newsmakers is produced by KGCS-TV, a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University. Programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems.
