An eight-year-old Independence child was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:54 a.m. today on southbound I-49 at Pineville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Dexter L. Howard, 42, Independence, traveled into the median and overturned.
A passenger in the Howard vehicle, Tyler D. Howard, 8, Independence, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Bella Vista, Arkansas.
