Summer reading program concludes at Joplin Public Library

(From Joplin Public Library)

The Joplin Public Library’s “UNMASK!” summer reading club will conclude on Saturday, July 25, with a superhero-themed celebration, at 10 a.m., to honor all children that participated.

Activities are free and will include games, face painting, a make-it-take-it craft, refreshments, inflatables, and much more.

The festivities conclude a successful nine week program designed to help children maintain their reading skills during their summer break from school. Children who completed the club received two paperback books and participated in numerous library activities that were sponsored in part by a LSTA grant from the Missouri State Library.
