Joplin, Carthage men arrested for 7th and Moffet armed robbery

(UPDATE: Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Dean Dankelson dropped two earlier armed robbery charges against Ace Mohr, one of the two men charged with today's armed robbery. Mohr is also awaiting trial on seven felony counts of drug possession and trafficking, including heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. The complete investigative report can be found at this link.)

 The investigation determined that the victim, Samuel J. Pasley, 34, Fairland, Oklahoma met the two suspects at Indigo Sky Casino and returned to Joplin with them.

Steven G. Prall, 25, Joplin, has been arrested for: Robbery 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Possession of Controlled Substance.


Ace N. Mohr, 23, Carthage, has been arrested for: Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance and Armed Criminal Action

August 30, 2016 at 7:14 AM, Joplin Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of 7th and Moffet Ave.

At this time, it appears that the victim was in a vehicle, accompanied by two newly met acquaintances.

One of the subjects displayed a firearm and robbed the victim of $500.00 cash. The victim was released unharmed from the vehicle in the area of 7th St. and Moffet Ave.

Officers located the two suspect a few blocks away. Both suspects have been detained.

Officers located methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana in the suspect’s vehicle. No firearm was recovered at this time. The investigation continues.
