A Joplin man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 11:15 p.m. Thursday on Cherry Road, two miles southwest of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Christopher J. Whitney, 33, Joplin, struck a deer that was in the roadway.
Whitney was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
