Arkansas man charged with DWI following three-vehicle accident; Joplin man escapes injury

A Bella Vista, Arkansas, man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a three-vehicle accident 10:30 p.m. Friday on U. S. 71 at Commercial Street in Jane.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1993 Toyota Camry driven by Mary L. Setzer, 34, Pineville, and a 1996 Ford F150 driven by Robert L. Logue, 20, Joplin, were stopped at a red light when the Setzer vehicle was struck from behind by a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Turner L. Clark, 23, Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Setzer was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Bella Vista.

In addition to the DWI charge, Clark was cited for careless and imprudent driving, no valid driver's license and no insurance.
