Crowder College veterinary technology program named one of top 30 in U. S.

(From Crowder College)

The Veterinary Technology program at Crowder College has been named in the Top 30 programs across the country by VeterinarianEDU.org.

“There are 221 accredited Veterinary Technology programs, so we are pleased to be included in the Top 30 in the nation,” stated Dr. Stephanie Watson-Bruto, DVM, Veterinary Technology Program Director & Instructor.

The Veterinary Technology program at Crowder College is a competitive admission program which offers students the opportunity to work with a variety of animals both large and small. Our facilities include a large animal laboratory, indoor and outdoor kennels, and over 300 acres of farm land. The students gain hands on experience with anesthesia, x-ray, and clinical laboratory, along with clinical experience in veterinary hospitals. Graduates have excellent job placement and national board exam pass rates.

VeterinarianEDU.org uses a number of important factors to determine overall rankings for our top 30 list. These factors include a combination of cost and financial aid, along with the number of programs offered. In addition, they consider student-teacher ratios, and employment/career counseling services. Finally, graduation rates were an important aspect when considering what schools to feature.
