Repairs underway on massive water leak at Washington and Main in Neosho

PUBLIC NOTICE FROM THE NEOSHO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

 Repairs are underway on a massive water leak in a 12" ductile iron line at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Main Avenue. 

Due to the nature of the split in the waterline, replacement materials were not in inventory and are of a specialty nature. 

A supplier was located and the parts are being shipped via the quickest delivery and will arrive Thursday morning. 

Installation of the repair requires skill sets that can only be provided by specialized technicians. The crew performing the installation will arrive on Friday morning. Repairs should be complete by Friday afternoon. 

There should be no disruption to service until a short-term shutoff Friday afternoon during the installation of the new parts. Thank you for your patience and consideration as we know that certain inconveniences may be experienced during this time.
