Joplin Police arrest woman, find 15 counterfeit $100 bills in her pants

(From the Joplin Police Department)

Incident Spotlight

Yesterday at noon one of our officers stopped a Jeep SUV at 10th and Murphy Avenue after seeing its plates checked to a 1995 GMC pickup.

A male driver and female passenger were contacted. After indications of criminal activity, officers had the female and male exit the car.

A wad of money fell from the female’s pants. It was discovered to be five counterfeit $100 bills. She was arrested and also had a drug pipe in her pocket.

At the jail she was found to have 15 more counterfeit $100 bills inside her pants. The male was not arrested but the vehicle was towed due to improper plates and no insurance or paperwork.
