Freezing rain, snow, sleet expected on Tuesday, wind chill to drop to single digits tonight

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited excessive cold risk.

DISCUSSION...

Wind chill values will drop into the single digits below zero
overnight into Monday morning.

Hazardous travel conditions will persist especially on untreated
and secondary roads through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Travel impacts are expected Tuesday and Tuesday night. Another
system will bring a wintry mix of freezing rain, snow, and sleet
Tuesday and Tuesday night. Snow is expected over central
Missouri.

A mix of sleet, snow and freezing rain is expected farther south
over southeast Kansas into southern Missouri. While very heavy
precipitation amounts are not expected, travel is expected to be
impacted. Expect adjustments to the forecast over the next couple
of days.

There is then a limited risk for some light snow by the end of
the week. Wind chill values will dip into the single digits
several days this week and into this weekend.
