Tire failure causes accident on I-49, Stella, Anderson teens injured

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 5:30 p.m. today on I-49 at the Neosho city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1996 Ford Ranger driven by Kyle M. Waldon, 17, Stella, suffered a left rear tire failure causing the vehicle to run off the right side of the roadway and overturn, ejecting Waldon.

Waldon and a passenger, Zoey E. Meador, 17, Anderson, were taken to Freeman West Hospital with moderate and minor injuries, respectively.
