Carthage woman injured in collision with parked vehicle, arrested on felony possession charge

A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision 3:30 a.m. today on MO 171, one mile west of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by Tina L. Lunay, 57, Carthage, ran off the right side of the road and struck the rear of 2014 Volvo Convertible that was parked on the shoulder due to mechanical failure.

Luney, who was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance-amphetamines.
