Speed Networking with Joplin's Arts and Cultural Community set for February 20

Connect2Culture (C2C), Joplin's community arts agency, will host its next C2C Arts Roundtable, "Speed Networking with Joplin’s Arts & Cultural Community," on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00–8:00pm at the 200 Block Commons Building (212 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64801).

C2C Arts Roundtable Description: Are you a member of Joplin’s arts and cultural community? Do you desire to put names to new faces and make meaningful connections? Those that attend will have the chance to meet nearly everyone in the room at this Connect2Culture Arts Roundtable. Come prepared to tell your story and brainstorm potential collaborations!

“This event was developed directly from the feedback we have received through our Connect2Culture Arts Roundtable series,” said Emily Frankoski, Community Arts Director, Connect2Culture. “Many members of our arts and cultural community want to get to know each other a bit better. The majority of the time in our workshops is spent learning from our guest speakers. Lively (and sometimes lengthy) Q&A leaves little time to network. At this arts roundtable, attendees will do just that. We hope this arts roundtable will further connect members of Joplin’s arts and cultural community and inspire many collaborations.”

Details: This event is free and open to Joplin’s arts and cultural community members (i.e. employees, board members, volunteers from arts/cultural organizations/businesses and artists). Light appetizers and beverages will be served. A special thank you to Neal Group Construction, LLC for allowing C2C to host this event in the newly retrofitted, historic 200 Block Commons Building. Public parking can be found in the lot North of the building, at the old Joplin Public Library building, or along the street. If you reserved a spot and can no longer attend, please let C2C know in advance.

C2C Arts Roundtables are an annual series of professional development programs that aim to educate, empower, and connect the Joplin Arts community. All leaders, supporters, and advocates of the Joplin Arts are welcome to attend these roundtables. Feel free to invite interested staff and board members. These Roundtables are a great time to learn, share, network, and establish connections.
