New JPD officers come from Carthage, Aurora police departments, Jasper County Sheriff's Office

Welcome Aboard!

Rian Bolt, pictured with the patch, started with us as a police officer on November 12. Bolt comes to us from the Carthage, Missouri Police Department.

Derek Zentner, pictured left, started today as a police officer. Zentner comes to us from the Aurora, Missouri Police Department.

John Watkins, pictured right, started today as a Joplin Police Officer. Watkins worked as a Joplin Police Officer for 8 years before leaving last year. He was since employed with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and the private industry before returning home to us today.

These three officers are also part of our first group from our new Lateral Hiring Program! Welcome aboard and welcome back!
