Nevada woman, Iantha children injured in accident on I-49 near Carthage

Three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:15 p.m. Friday on I-49, one mile north of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Chevrolet HHR driven by Tammy L. Green, 42, Nevada, had to brake suddenly due to a driver slowing in front of it.


Green lost control of the vehicle and struck the side of the bridge before the vehicle came to rest in the driving lane.

Green and two passengers, Marissa Franklin, 12, and Trinity Franklin, 7, both of Iantha, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
