Three-year-old, one-year-old injured in three-vehicle chain reaction crash involving Joplin, Aurora, Ozark drivers

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 7:45 p.m. Monday on MO 37, four miles north of Washburn.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Jeep Liberty driven by Kayla D. Ferguson, 30, was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn with a 2012 Dodge pickup driven by Jeremy W. Clark, 38, Ozark, stopped behind it when the Clark vehicle was struck from behind by a 2000 GMC pickup driven by Michael L. Russell, 18, Aurora, causing the Clark vehicle to hit the Ferguson vehicle.

Two passengers in the Clark vehicle, Amelia Clark, 1, and Charlotte Clark, 1, both of Ozark, were treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
