Events scheduled for Fine Arts Week at Crowder College

 

Crowder College’s Fine Arts division will host Fine Arts Week, April 19-23, on the Neosho campus. The Fine Arts division consists of Art, Theatre, Music, and Speech and Debate.

Events will include:

Crowder Student Art Exhibition – all week, 9am – 6 pm in the Longwell Museum inside the Elsie Plaster Community Center

Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition – Monday, April 19, 10am-2pm Quad area near EPCC

Art Sale – Tuesday, April 20, 10am-2pm in the Student Center

No Art without Earth: Day of Service, Thursday, April 22, 10am-2pm, meet in EPCC lobby

Art Sale – Thursday, April 22, 10am-2pm in Student Center
Printmaking Open House – Thursday, April 22, noon-4:30pm in Newton Hall Room 100

Open Borders: Reflections on U.S. Immigration Policy (Crowder Debate), Thursday, April 22, 1-2pm in EPCC Room 127

Raku Firing, Thursday, April 22, 3pm on Quad

Masks & Music (Crowder Theatre & Music), Thursday, April 22 & Friday, April 23, 7pm nightly in EPCC. General Admission $5, Dorm students FREE

While most events are geared to students the public is welcome to attend.

The Printmaking Open House will showcase new equipment that was provided to the college through a donation. Printmaking is an activity of making pictures or designs by printing them from specially prepared plates or blocks. 

That event will start with speaking at noon followed by demonstrations throughout the remainder of the afternoon until 4:30pm.



Masks and Music will feature the talents of theatre and music students and is open to the public. General admission is $5 with two performances.
