Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:45 a.m. today on Gum Road, three miles south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 17-year-old girl from Baxter Springs, Kansas, slid off the right side of the road and struck a fence and a utility pole.
The girl and a 17-year-old Seneca boy were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
