Sidewalk & Drainage Improvements in Webb City, Alba Scheduled to Begin Week of April 19
Drivers should watch for contractor crews making sidewalk improvements and working close to traffic along McArthur Drive (Missouri Route 171) in Webb City and Main Street (Jasper County Route O) in Alba beginning the week of April 19, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Crews will be doing the following work:
Beginning week of April 19, contractor crews will reconstruct a nine-foot wide sidewalk/trail in Webb City along McArthur Drive (Route 171) between Frisco Greenway Trail and Dawson Drive.
Once the work in Webb City is complete, contractor crews will move to Alba to reconstruct a sidewalk and make stormwater improvements at intersection of Main Street (Route O) and High Street (Jasper County Route D)
Contractor crews also will install pedestrian crossings, crosswalks, pedestrian ramps
Traffic Impacts
Most work will be done during daytime hours (7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Friday)
In Alba, drivers will find occasional lane closings and flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews have closed lanes
All lanes in Alba will be open during nighttime hours and weekends
In Webb City, occasional lane closings will be done at night (8 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday-Friday)
All lanes in Webb City will be open to traffic during weekends
Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zones
Drivers should find alternate routes around work zones
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
