Jasper Police traffic stop leads to arrest, meth confiscation

On Thursday, April 15th, 2021 at 1255 hours, A Jasper PD officer initiated a traffic stop on the parking lot of Pete’s Convenience Store located at 309 N. 6th St., Jasper, Missouri, on a maroon 1998 Chevy Lumina.

After the driver stopped, he immediately exited the vehicle, putting on his left boot while doing so.
Contact was made with the driver, Chris Ensor (Nevada) who handed the officer a Missouri non-driver's license.

Ensor admitted he had a meth pipe in the car between the front seats. He also admitted to having a vial in his front pant pocket that he forgot about that, and that it was meth. A clear glass vial from his pant pocket which contained about 2 grams of a white crystal substance inside.





 
A glass meth pipe with white powder residue was located stuffed between the front seats.
 
Once at the jail, he was found to have 3 baggies of meth in his right shoe. The baggies weighed about 3 grams each.
 
Ensor was held for possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.
 
Note: Ensor is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
