JPD officer receives promotion

The Joplin Police Department is pleased to announce and recognize Corporal Mackenzie Roach, who was promoted to the rank of Corporal from Police Officer on April 19th at the Joplin Police Department. 

Corporal Roach graduated from Missouri Southern State University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and has hired by the Joplin Police Department in January of 2017. 

Corporal Roach attended the MSSU Law Enforcement Academy that spring and graduated in May of 2017 and began his duties as a Police Officer shortly thereafter. 

Corporal Roach has worked as a Police Officer, member of the JPD SWAT Team, has been a Field Training Officer and most recently worked as one of the department's DWI Enforcement Officers.
