Carl Junction teacher Amanda Royster named Regional Teacher of the Year

(From Carl Junction Schools)

Congratulations to Amanda Royster for being named a Regional Teacher of the Year!

We are thrilled to share that Amanda, with her 11 years of teaching experience, has achieved this remarkable honor.

She joined the Carl Junction (CJ) district in 2015 as an English Language Arts Teacher at the High School, where she passionately served for six years. Currently, she holds the role of High School Library Media Specialist, bringing her expertise and love for education to a new capacity.

Out of the forty-three school districts in our region, Amanda has been selected as one of the two teachers who will advance to compete for the prestigious State Teacher of the Year title. This is an outstanding accomplishment, highlighting her exceptional abilities and contributions to the field of education.

Amanda's recognition as the Regional Teacher of the Year marks a significant milestone for Carl Junction, as she becomes the fourth CJ teacher to achieve this honor since the regional step was introduced six years ago.

We are proud to mention previous CJ teachers Tobin Schultz, Chris Huhn, and Rachel Hensley, who have also earned the Regional title, showcasing the district's commitment to excellence in education.

Let's celebrate Amanda's journey and acknowledge her remarkable achievements so far. Join us in sending her best wishes as she continues to represent Carl Junction in the State Teacher of the Year program.
