Heat advisory in effect for Joplin area through Friday

A Heat Advisory is in effect for our area through Friday, 6-30-23. 

The combination of heat and humidity will likely drive afternoon Heat Index values above 105°F. Take the necessary precautions to stay safe and avoid heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

 
The City of Joplin opens cooling centers when temperatures reach 100°F or more for three consecutive days. Look for more information on these cooling centers at https://www.joplinmo.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=3560.
