(From Joplin Schools)Congratulations to our Joplin High School Debate Nationals participants on a great showing in Phoenix, Arizona this summer!
Jeana Compton placed 30th in the nation in Lincoln Douglas Debate and earned a 4x National Qualifier award. Kate Tyson placed 42nd in the nation in Extemporaneous Debate, out of more than 1,000 competitors.
Such immersive opportunities don't come along every day, and we are proud of these students and their team sponsor, Misti Lettenmaier, for working hard toward these goals.
