Wyatt and Urilla Earp statue arrives in Lamar

The Wyatt and Urilla Earp statue for Lamar's Wyatt Earp Park arrived today.

These photos from the Barton County Chamber of Commerce show the arrival and Chamber staff with sculptor Glenn Tutterow.

Wyatt Earp was the Lamar's first city marshal in 1870, his first job in law enforcement. He married Urilla Sutherland, but she died only a few months into their marriage.
