The Crowder College Agriculture Division received a $6,500 grant for Industry Education and Recruitment from the US Poultry Foundation. The gift was made possible by the Hollis P. Osborne family.
“Grant funds are used to take students to the International Poultry Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as exposing them to career opportunities in the poultry industry,” state Jay Wilkins, Crowder Agriculture Division Chair.
Crowder College offers an Associate of Arts degree in Agriculture with a Poultry Science option. It is designed for students pursuing a four-year degree in all areas of agriculture, pre-veterinary medicine, and wildlife conservations.
Crowder has an agreement with the University of Arkansas Bumpers College Poultry Science Department that allows students the seamless transferability they need to enter as juniors into the program.
