Joplin Police vehicle stop nets meth, handgun, driver arrested

Yesterday evening, 8-12-17, one of our K9 officers stopped a vehicle on the south part of town. 

After the driver was arrested for driving while suspended, the police K9 was used to discover approximately 9 grams of meth and a handgun in the car. 

The driver was arrested for the traffic offense along with felony drug and weapons offenses.
