A Joplin woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident 10:55 a.m. today on Business Loop 49, eight miles north of Neosho.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Toyota Rav4 driven by Patricia A. Daugherty, 66, Joplin, ran off the roadway and overturned.
Daugherty was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:14 a.m. by Newton County Deputy Coroner Jerry Deems.
The fatality was the 70th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
