Incident Spotlight
Saturday evening, one of officers checked the old library downtown and located a male sleeping in the bushes hidden from view. He was determined to be a sex offender out of California for sexual battery and had come to Joplin a week and a half ago from Tulsa.
He was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender and trespassing.
