The Webb City & Carl Junction Rotary clubs will host a September 11th Memorial Ceremony at Crowder College-Webb City, at noon on Monday, September 11, The campus is located at 600 S. Ellis, Webb City.
Featured speaker will be two first responders, Sergeant John H. Lueckenhoff and Fire Chief John Cooper.
Lueckenhoff is with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Public Information and Education Division Troop D. The Public Information and Education Division prepares and disseminates information concerning the Patrol to the public via the media; fields questions from the public and the media on variety of topics related to the Patrol and its mission; and provides educational programs throughout the state.
Cooper served the Carthage Fire Department for 40 years before retiring. In addition to this, Chief Cooper served for four years with the United States Air Force Fire Rescue. Crowder is honored to say that Chief Cooper received his certificate in Fire Science from Crowder College. Chief Cooper has spent over 44 years as a First Responder.
After the ceremony, Webb City and Carl Junction Rotary Clubs will host a BBQ for all area first responders at the Webb City Fire Department.
