A Webb City man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 1:03 p.m. today on I-44 eastbound at the 178.4 mile marker in Phelps County.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Lincoln Town Car driven by Reginald Hammond, 60, Webb City, traveled off the south side of the roadway striking a marker post, began to overturn and struck an embankment before becoming airborne and crossing the on ramp to the rest area landing in a tree.
Hammond was treated for moderate injuries.
