The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, at its meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in Jefferson City, awarded projects to construction companies to make improvements to state highways and bridges during 2018, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Here are the details:
- Cedar County Route U: Bridge replacement over Adler Creek near Willowville
- Awarded to Boone Construction Co. of Columbia, for low bid amount of $620,000
- Greene County U.S. Route 65: Pavement rehabilitation on northbound Route 65 to westbound I-44 ramp
- Awarded to Branco Enterprises, Inc. of Springfield for low bid amount of $416,000
- Henry County Route V: Bridge replacement over Tebo Creek south of Calhoun
- Awarded to Boone Construction Co. of Columbia, for low bid amount of $770,000
- Jasper County I-49: Two bridge rehabilitations over the Spring River near Carthage
- Awarded to Capital Paving and Construction, LLC of Jefferson City, for low bid amount of $4.5 million
- Jasper County Missouri Route 66: Sidewalk improvements between Range Line Road and Duquesne Road in Joplin
- Awarded to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. of Springfield, for low bid amount of $762,000
- Jasper/Lawrence counties I-44: Resurfacing between 2.5 miles west of the Jasper/Lawrence county line to the Lawrence/Greene county line
- Awarded to Capital Paving and Construction, LLC of Jefferson City for low bid amount of $14.2 million
- Newton County I-44: Two bridge rehabilitations over Shoal Creek in Joplin
- Awarded to Capital Paving and Construction, LLC of Jefferson City for low bid amount of $3.2 million
- Stone County Route V: Bridge replacement over Goff Creek
- Awarded to Hartman & Co. of Springfield for low bid amount of $509,000
- Taney County U.S. Route 160 & Missouri Route 76: Intersection improvements in Forsyth
- Awarded to Lehman Construction, LLC of California for low bid amount of $845,000
Construction on the projects will start sometime later this year and be completed by the end of 2018. More information on the projects will be announced prior to the projects’ start dates.
