A Texas man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 7:50 p.m. Wednesday on Manning Road, east of MO 43 and five miles north of Southwest City.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Scott M. Harris, 51, Qickman, Texas, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Harris was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
