...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
  following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and
  Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar,
  Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory,
  Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller,
  Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon,
  St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster, and Wright.

* Through Thursday morning

* Showers and thunderstorms have already brought 2 to 5 inches of
  rainfall to the region with some locations receiving over 6
  inches of rainfall. This has resulted in a significant amount of
  flooding across the area.






  Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
  today and especially tonight with rainfall amounts up to an inch.
  The additional rainfall will continue the threat for flooding.

* The heavy rainfall may lead to flooding of creeks, streams,
  and low water crossings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
