Joplin baby injured in accident on I-49

A Joplin infant was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:49 p.m. Tuesday on I-49, a quarter of a mile north of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Dodge Neon driven by Kelli M. Newberry,25, Joplin, and a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Randall T. Hunter, 41, Fayetteville, Arkansas, both going southbound, sideswiped each other forcing the Newberry vehicle off the roadway.

A passenger in the Newberry vehicle, Maisie K. Reynolds, 0, Joplin, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

  1. Dude straight up ran Kelli and her 6 month off the road. There was witnesses seeing him go in and out of her lane. She honked cause she thought he couldn't see her and dude ran her off the road. It wasn't an accident. A lady who seen the whole thing stopped and helped Kelli. She even told the state trooper that caught him what she saw. Dude needs attempted vehicular manslaughter!
