This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms likely through the early morning hours.
Primary threat will be cloud- to- ground lightning...although
stronger storms will be capable of producing quarter size hail and
winds to 60 mph as well as lightning being the primary threats.
Scattered thunderstorms redevelop later this evening into the
overnight hours with the potential for quarter size hail and
winds to 60 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

A scenario is setting up from late this weekend into Thursday
for periods of heavy rainfall. While confidence is increasing
that the event will occur...confidence in the location of the
heaviest rainfall axis and specific amounts of the heavy rain
remain low. This system will need to be monitored closely into
  the weekend.
