On Monday, June 24th at 7:20 PM, police officers with the Joplin Police Department were called to west 7th Street at Walmart Drive for an injury crash.
A bicyclist was traveling west in the eastbound lane of traffic, lost control of the bicycle and was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The bicyclist, Amber Donellan, 28 of Joplin was transported to a local hospital with injuries where she later died. The driver of the vehicle’s name was Anna Beal, 18 of Joplin.
Joplin Police’s Major Crash Team is investigating the crash. The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be released as they become available.

Was that the young lady that rides with a binder (notebook) in one hand? Just wondering. I see her around a lot. Not the best choice. Hope it wasn't.
