On 7/13/20, officers of the Lamar Police Department responded to a call concerning gunshots in the 700 block of Broadway at 5:19 a.m.
Officers located a deceased male at a residence in the neighborhood. We are in the early stage of the investigation.
However, this appears to be an isolated incident and we do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the community.
There are several agencies assisting with the investigation- the Southwest Major Case Squad has been activated and is assisting along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
