Joplin bulky item dropoff closed Saturday

The Republic Services Transfer Station in Galena, Kansas, that accepts bulky items from Joplin residential trash customers, will be closed Saturday, July 25. This closure is due to utility work being done at their facility.

During general operations, the transfer stations hours for Joplin residents are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12 noon to 2:30 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The program is normally closed on Sunday and Friday.
