Virtual concert to conclude summer reading program at Joplin Public Library

(From Joplin Public Library)

Joplin Public Library’s 2020 Summer Reading Program (“Imagine Your Story”) is coming to a close! Help us celebrate with a virtual concert featuring Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove on Saturday, July 25. This event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The concert is geared toward children ages 2-12 and will take place via Facebook Live on the library’s Facebook page. Come explore, imagine, and tell stories through music, singing, and dancing during this virtual, interactive show that will get the whole family moving!

Per the performer’s website: “Jim Cosgrove has been rockin’ with families for more than two decades. Affectionately nicknamed “Mr. Stinky Feet” by his young fans following the release of his 1999 hit song, Jim is a cool favorite on the concert tour circuit. He has performed more than 4,000 high-energy, interactive shows throughout North America and Europe, including two performances at The White House Easter Egg Roll.”

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provision of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
