Jasper Police Department traffic stop leads to two arrests on meth charges

On Wednesday, July 15th , 2020 at 1545 hours, a Jasper officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Mercer St. on a white Honda Accord. 

I made contact with the driver, Michael Lindsey-Hall, and the front passenger, Sharity Merriman.

While speaking to the occupants, a strong smell of burnt marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The passenger admitted she had been smoking marijuana while they were driving to town. 








A search of the vehicle was conducted. Marijuana and a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue was located. Marijuana and a socket used for smoking marijuana was located in the vehicle. 

Lindsey-Hall was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of meth related drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked, as well as several warrants. 
Merriman was arrested for posssession of marijuana and posssession of meth meth related drug paraphernalia.

Both Lindsey-Hall and Merriman are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
