Lane closures, delays expected during I-49 resurfacing in McDonald County

(From MODOT)

Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on a four-mile stretch of I-49 in McDonald County for a resurfacing project beginning the week of April 12, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will work during daytime hours to resurface I-49 between McDonald County Route EE and Goodin Hollow Road in Pineville. Crews will also resurface interchange ramps at routes EE and H. In addition to a new driving surface, the highway will receive edge line rumble strips and new guardrail in areas.

Traffic Impacts

I-49 traffic reduced to one lane where crews are working
Drivers should obey flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone
Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment working close to traffic
Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
Drivers are urged to find alternate routes around the work zone

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
