Cherokee County Sheriff's Investigators executed a narcotic related search warrant on a Weir home Wednesday afternoon.
As part of an ongoing investigation, the warrant was served just after 5:00 p.m. at 302 East Oak Street.
As a result of the search and investigation, detectives arrested Jamy Mays, age 41, of the home. Mays, who is a registered drug offender having been previously convicted and imprisoned for crimes associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine, is being held in the Cherokee County Jail and faces allegations of Meth Distribution, Possessing Meth and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.
Also arrested at the scene were 22-year-old Elissa Sturgell and 40-year-old Shylow Star Richardson, both of Weir.
Sturgell faces charges of Possessing Meth and Drug Paraphernalia while Richardson was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Wright County, Missouri for Possessing Meth, Paraphernalia and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
