Sarcoxie man arrested for DWI, second Sarcoxie man seriously injured in collision east of Monett

A Sarcoxie man was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision 4:12 p.m. Monday on U. S. 60 and Route Z three miles east of Monett.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Audi A4 driven by Elmer J. Perez, 52, Sarcoxie, pulled into the path of a 2014 Ford F-150 driven by James C. Pyle 52, Aurora. The Pyle vehicle struck the driver's side of the Perez vehicle.

A passenger in the Perez vehicle, Jesus Quinones, 42, Sarcoxie, was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield.

Perez, who was also cited for driving while revoked, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Cassville.
